Pantherism Is The Tip of the Spear
By Chairman Shaka Zulu, New Afrikan Black Panther Party

Pantherism is really a new consciousness and ideology in the 21st century that must be constantly deepened and expanded as new social realities and objective conditions impose upon our thinking. Pantherism, as a new power in the 21st century, must be used as a weapon against all the corroded and perverse idea and views of the vampire capitalist class.

We must go into battle with the oppressors’ ideology fully equipped with the Science of Revolution, which is dialectical and historical materialism. Our political line and honesty in dealing with the masses will enable Pantherism to win them over to the strategy of building base areas of social, cultural and political revolution so that when a revolutionary situation presents itself, we will be ready and able to Seize The Time. Dare to Struggle, Dare to win! Pantherism Forward!

If you agree with the Ten-Point Program of the New Afrikan Black Panther Party, you can join the United Panther Movement and help us build a better world, one community at a time!

Ten-Point Program

The Ten-Point program was first conceptualized by Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense in 1966. It was established as a means for reaching out to the people on their own terms. There is a Ten-point program for the NABPP, the Brown Panther Organization, and the White Panther Organization. The Ten-Point Programs are used to develop a broad basis of unity, raise the class consciousness of the masses, and provide a means for Panthers to engage with communities across the continent. The primary Ten-Point Program with which the United Panther Movement should be concerned is the New Afrikan Black Panther Party Ten-Point Program. It is the foundation of all other Ten-Point programs and is inclusive of all oppressed people, with an emphasis on the Black and oppressed communities. This program is as follows:

1. We want the freedom and power to determine the destiny of our Black and oppressed communities!

2. We want full employment for our people!

3. We want an end to the robbery by the capitalists of our Black and oppressed communities!

4. We want decent housing fit for the shelter of human beings!

5. We want decent education for our people that exposes the true nature of this decadent American society: an education that teaches us our true history and our role in present-day society!

6. We want completely free healthcare for all Black and oppressed people!

7. We want an immediate end to police brutality & murder of Black people, other people of color, and all oppressed people inside the United States!

8. We want an immediate end to all wars of aggression!

9. We want freedom for all Black and oppressed people now held in U.S. Federal, State, County, City, & Military Prisons and Jails; furthermore, we want trials by a jury of our peers for all persons charged with so-called crimes under the laws of this country!

10. We want land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice, peace, & people's community control of modern technology!

Leadership Of The New Afrikan Black Panther Party

Chairman Zulu Sharod

Zulu Sharod, commonly known as Shaka Zulu, is a political activist and revolutionary organizer best known for his role as Chairman of the New Afrikan Black Panther Party (NABPP), a U.S. Black Power organization rooted in Marxist-Leninist-Maoist principles.

Sharod co-founded the NABPP in 2005 while the organization was largely based in the U.S. prison system. He served as a principal leader alongside other founding members and helped shape the party’s ideology, which they call Pantherism—a framework combining traditional Black liberation goals with Marxist-Leninist-Maoist analysis in pursuit of class struggle and liberation for oppressed peoples.

After years of incarceration, Sharod was released from prison in 2019, and since then has been actively involved in organizing community programs and outreach efforts aligned with the NABPP’s mission. These efforts have included grassroots campaigns and local “serve the people” projects aimed at supporting oppressed communities through mutual aid and base-building work.

Under his leadership, the NABPP has also been connected with broader coalition-building through what members describe as the United Panther Movement, a network that seeks to unify diverse activist formations under shared principles of revolutionary struggle.

Sharod’s leadership and political work are shaped by a commitment to anti-racism, anti-imperialism, and the belief that structural transformation—rather than incremental reform—is necessary to achieve justice and self-determination for African-descended people and other oppressed groups.

Secretary-General/Minister of Finance Kilaika Shakur

I was introduced to African culture and political and social consciousness at an early age, beginning at just sixteen years old. Through early community-based work, I developed a deep understanding of the conditions facing African people and the global struggle for liberation. This early exposure shaped my worldview and led me to embrace Pan-Africanism as both an ideology and a way of life, grounded in collective responsibility, unity, and disciplined service to the people.

Over the years, my political development has been shaped through collective struggle and lived experience. Like many African people, I have confronted racism, police brutality, and the violence of capitalism and imperialism directly—through sustained participation in protests, demonstrations, and mass organizing from my teenage years into adulthood. Many of these experiences were difficult and painful, yet they strengthened my resolve and deepened my commitment to liberation work.

I was mentored by experienced revolutionaries who taught me the principles of effective organizing, leadership, and accountability to the people. Through this guidance and years of organizing, my work expanded both nationally and internationally, always grounded in Pan-African principles and solidarity with oppressed peoples across the world.

As a long-time resident of Dallas, I have dedicated more than 26 years to the struggle for African liberation. This lifelong commitment has profoundly shaped both my personal growth and political development. I identify as a citizen of the Republic of New Africa and previously served in a disciplined capacity committed to self-determination and community defense.

My organizing work has included building broad-based unity formations and directly confronting systemic abuses, including police violence. These efforts resulted in historic moments of resistance and helped spark political consciousness and organizing among new generations in Dallas. I have also contributed as a writer, offering political analysis and commentary rooted in African-centered and liberationist perspectives.

In 2013, I founded an initiative focused on supporting individuals inside the prison system by providing political education, study materials, and resources necessary for personal and collective development. A central tool of this work has been written correspondence and newsletters, which help maintain political consciousness, connection, and hope among incarcerated people. I continue to write in support of political prisoners and imprisoned communities as needed.

My international work has centered on standing in solidarity with revolutionary and socialist movements, particularly efforts aimed at securing political power for the people in Africa through parliamentary and executive leadership. This work is rooted in my belief that African unity is essential to dismantling neo-colonial exploitation of African land and resources.

I am also a human rights activist who consistently challenges the injustices of mass incarceration and the prison industrial complex. I have served in leadership roles dedicated to providing political, social, and cultural education within prisons, with the goal of transforming sites of confinement into spaces of learning, critical thought, and self-determination.

My vision for prison-based education is grounded in the belief that incarcerated African men and women, upon release, should be fully prepared to contribute meaningfully to their families, communities, and society. This includes eradicating illiteracy, restoring cultural consciousness, transforming destructive mentalities, strengthening community stability, and reducing recidivism through education and political awareness.

Through this work, I have helped build defense committees, supported prison abolitionist efforts, organized against toxic prison conditions, and played key roles in national prisoner strikes, hunger strikes against solitary confinement, and mass mobilizations for prisoners’ human rights.

I remain committed to African liberation guided by principles of collective economics, land stewardship, and self-sustainability. At the core of my work is a dedication to building institutions capable of meeting the needs of youth, adults, and elders—through education, economic empowerment, mentorship, and social support services.

These commitments—rooted in unity, service, and liberation—form the fabric of my life and work, which I am honored to share.

Minister of Human Rights and Labor Daniel Carapezzi

My name is Daniel! I am a new member of the Party, though I have organized and been politically active for over six years. I got my start by volunteering, canvassing, and field organizing for progressive primary elections for candidates who believed in ideas like free healthcare, free college, livable wages, and more. I have been involved with food distributions and free stores, participating in protests or putting them together over causes like the support of the Palestinian people, and opposition to the murder of Black community members in America at the hands of the police. I’ve done political work involving family support, pressure campaigns to get charges dropped from young activists, canvassing the community, support for Gaza, and more. I was attracted to the NABPP and the United Panther Movement for the way it strives to put all of these concepts together: reaching out to the whole community and building a base of confidence and support for sweeping changes, supporting the community materially–on the ground and in the streets–taking a lead role in important causes, developing close connections with people, and for working against the system that keeps all of us down. I have never felt deterred from my sense of commitment to the people since coming to my communist politics, because I am determined to keep doing what I know is right, no matter the difficulties. Through them, I hope to take my confidence as an organizer to new levels, and contribute to setting new examples for what service to the people means.
